Die Cricket-Sparte des TSV 05 Trebur e.V. war vergangenen Samstag, den 27.04.2024 bereits zum zweiten Mal Gastgeber der Finalrunde der Trebur Spring Cricket Championship (TSCC-2024). Das Turnier wird über einen Zeitraum von insgesamt vier Woche gespielt und bildet den Auftakt der hessischen Cricketsaison. Beteiligt an dem Turnier waren 24 Teams aus ganz Hessen.
Als größter Softball-Cricket-Verein Deutschlands bietet der TSV 05 Trebur e.V. nicht nur eine Plattform für alle von diesem Sport Begeisterten, unser Team stellte auch wieder sein sportliches Können unter Beweis. Den Turniersieg sicherten sich allerdings dieses Jahr die Eagles CC aus Frankfurt im Rahmen einer packenden Begegnung gegen die Hawk Hunters aus Dreieich.
An der Preisverleihung auf der „Roten Erde“, bei der auch herausragende spielerische Einzelleistungen geehrt wurden, nahmen als Ehrengäste Herr Umar Präsident des Hessischen Cricket Verbandes, Herr Jibin Leiter der Softball-Liga Hessen, sowie der ehemalige TSV Vorstandsvorsitzende Herr Pommer teil.
Die Cricket-Community in Hessen floriert. Dies auch insbesondere Dank des unermüdlichen Engagements des TSV 05 Trebur e.V. und seiner vielen Menschen im Ehrenamt. Der TSCC-2024 ist ein Projekt welches Leidenschaft, Begeisterung und die Lust sportlichen Austausch zum Ausdruck bringt.
Dank gilt in diesem Zusammenhang auch Herrn Girish, dem Gründer der Cricketsparte des TSV sowie Herrn Thomas, dem aktuellen Cricketvorstand.

The TSV Trebur Cricket Department recently concluded the second edition of the Trebur Spring Cricket Championship (TSCC-2024), leaving an indelible mark on the German cricket scene. As the largest softball cricket Verein in Germany, TSV Trebur showcased its influence during this thrilling tournament, which spanned four weekends and featured 24 teams from the Hessen region.
The championship commenced on April 6th, marking the official kickoff of the 2024 cricket season in Hessen. The grand finale took place on April 27th, where cricket enthusiasts witnessed intense battles, outstanding performances, and nail-biting moments.
Eagles CC emerged as the triumphant team, securing the championship title. Their exceptional teamwork, skill, and determination propelled them to victory. Meanwhile, the Hawk Hunters put up a valiant fight and secured the runner-up position, showcasing their talent and sportsmanship.

Girish, Founder of cricket in Trebur, reflected on the growth of the sport in the region and expressed pride in TSV Trebur’s achievements. Tom Thomas, the Current Vorstand of TSV Trebur, congratulated the winners and thanked all participants for their spirited performances. Individual brilliance did not go unnoticed. Several outstanding players received well-deserved awards, celebrating their contributions to the tournament.
